Constituée le 16 novembre 1936, elle réunit les usines Blériot de Suresnes, Bloch de Villacoublay et Courbevoie, S.A.S.O. de Bordeaux-Mérignac, U.C.A. de Bordeaux-Bègles, S.A.B. de Bordeaux-Bacalan et Lioré et Olivier de Rochefort.
Elle absorbe la S.N.C.A.O. en 1941.
Le 1er mars 1957 elle forme Sud Aviation en se réunissant avec la S.N.C.A.S.E.
